Wonderful memories of climbing with really great mates over the years Number 14.

Wonderful memories of climbing with really great mates over the years Number 14.

Phil Ralph.

Ralphy was a year behind Elaine at Morecambe Grammar, he also went to IM Marsh. He was mega fit in those days and had an admirable physique. Dave Cowan used to call him "The Greek God".

I can remember so many fun days climbing with him, the evening sessions in the pub were always entertaining too. It was Ralphy, Tom Jones, Tim Bancroft and I that climbed at Tremadoc and Gogarth when we spent the whole weekend stuttering, ("N N N Nim Nim bus Nimbus"). We had a crazy weekend camping at Cloggy with Pete Blackburn, lots of bouldering sessions at Frodsham, days in the Peak ("Adjudicator Wall") and the Lakes ("Grand Alliance" and "Prana"), and a fantastic trip to France in '91.

He was our best man in 1981. Thanks Ace.
